Mortician Requirements

Under the Sea

A whole generation of teenagers was traumatized by this simple picture. It is, however, that an actress Jacqueline Bisset in this case, in an action film underwater a bit outdated.

Directed by Peter Yates, best known for the legendary Bullitt, The Deep ( The deep in VF) opens with a sequence of diving in temperate waters of Bermuda, during which the actress does is that this T-shirt as a combination. A few years later, the actress herself has gaussée well in the media of what was perceived as the embodiment compounded of eroticism ("After filming The Deep (1977), all THEY talked about Was My tits for The Next Four Years. God, if I was going to do a picture Like That, I'd Have Done it a lot sexi. That Looked like it was Two fried eggs platter. ")

But this is not the only attraction of this film narrating the adventures of a pair of divers exploring a shipwreck, whose treasures are also coveted by local hoodlums. Music by John Barry, majestic, accompanying a ballet sequences, exploration, and amplifies the dangers encountered. Note that it is less memorable than the one he composed for Raise the Titanic three years later. If

connections with The Jaws are numerous (Peter Benchley wrote both films, Robert Shaw and the interpreter), the musical treatment is quite different. John Williams likes to suggest, as usual creating a mantra he uses and abuses to play on the nerves of the viewer. Barry, he remains true to his style and lyrical wide, which will soon give birth to two mythical Soundtrack: The Black Hole and Somewhere in Time.

As Jacqueline Bisset, considered at the time of The Deep as "the most beautiful actress of all time" by Newsweek magazine, she quietly continues his eclectic career with roles in films ( Save the Last Dance 2 ) and television ( Nip / Tuck ).
