Finally though, and it officially since January 31, 2011, of a heart attack at his home in Oyster Bay, New York. But his work, his music, his songs will remain forever engraved in the hearts of millions of people around the world. John Barry was 77 years and more than 100 films behind him.

He turned back to James Bond a long time and became more and more demanding with producers and directors. His music was not only serving the screen but existed independently, where his two albums orchestral he should listen again: Eternal Echoes and The Beyondness of Things.

John Barry also tells Harry Saltzman, one of the producers of James Bond, hated the song. To say that we almost miss a masterpiece is chilling.
He also mentioned the tremendous importance for him notes minor and the influence that had on him the Russian composers: Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Stravinsky. His acute sense of drama if follows from that.
A big thank you to John Barry. His work, so rich, his music, so powerful and delicate at once, far beyond the boundaries of music for film and made him one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.
